The Bourguiba mausoleum. (A popular hangout spot at night).
The Marina.
The local fish market and fresh produce market.
The view of the Mediterranean Sea; just a five minute walk from my house.
Tunisia through my eyes: food, people, sights, and more.
With help from lots of friends, I moved out of my house in Sousse……..
……and moved in to my new place in Monastir! (yes there is a house behind all those trees).
I got to break the fast with friends almost every evening during the month of Ramadan this year. It was a lot of fun and the food was excellent!
Shortly after returning to Tunisia, I got to spend a few days in the town of Zaghouan. It’s a small town in the mountains that has some nice hiking trails and old Romans ruins.
It’s been so much fun to share B’sissa with my American friends and have them really enjoy it. One couple in particular keeps asking me if I have any more of it. I don’t have any more, and so far I’ve been unsuccessful finding it online or in middle eastern shops. I do have the recipe though! Anyone interested? Here’s the link: B’sissa!
